In your first quarter reflection you made new goals for second quarter. Have you followed through with those goals? What have you done to achieve those goals? Have you noticed a change in your work?

For some of us, blowing up a puppy or shooting a water buffalo makes one sick to their stomach. Who do you feel more for, Azar or the puppy? (pity, sympathy, emapthy or maybe apathy)


"Like when Azar blew away Ted Lavender's puppy. "What's everybody so upset about?" Azar said. "I mean, Christ, I'm just a boy' "(O'Brien 35).

How is this an example of spin? Does azar being a boy justify him killing the puppy? Are the italics on the word "boy" for emphasis?
